RULES

  • Be respectful and courteous to your fellow members, and the moderators. Additionally, bigotry, bullying, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. (The usage of slurs, "ree" jokes, etc.)
     

  • Don’t bring personal drama into the main chat. If it can’t be taken care of between yourselves, please talk to a mod.
     

  • If you’re uncomfortable or have concerns, please don’t be afraid to come forward. We want to do everything we can to make this group safe for everyone.
     

  • Avoid godmodding/powerplay.
     

  • No shipchasing, just in general don’t pressure others into any situation they’re not comfortable with.
     

  • Please be responsible and considerate when/if a roleplay turns violent. Ask permission beforehand if you want your character to attack another in such a way that would cause severe or permanent physical harm. (ie. actual violence, not like, smacking someone on the arm.)
    Breaches of consent, or failing to ask permission before acting out violence on another player's character will be taken incredibly seriously.
     

  • Please appropriately tag+spoiler any art depicting gore, body horror, or nudity.
     

  • We ask that you keep graphic sexual content strictly to dms.
     

  • Please put effort into avoiding fetishising or villainising mental illness. I emphasize this specifically because we’re allowing Yandere characters. While a little chaos and murder is fun, ableism is not.
     

  • No Byoukidere or "Thugdere" characters.  If looking for a similar archetype to "thugdere", please use the term Kitikudere instead.
     

  • Topics such as pedophilia, incest, sexual assault, school shootings, and animal abuse will absolutely not be accepted in histories.
    If you put these topics in your character's history, it will be taken as you not reading the rules, and you will be rejected without question.

F.A.Q.

Can my character be a combination of two dere types?

Yes, but keep in mind some dere combinations are just existing dere types. You might be asked to reclassify depending on their other traits. (ie. if a character is a Tsundere + Dandere, they might just be a Bodere!)

Try to keep it to just two, though.

Can I use a dere that isn’t on the main list?

YES! You’re encouraged to! The dere wikipedia has lots to choose from. If you have a type in mind that isn’t on the wiki, you’re free to use that as well as long as you can offer a description and an example character.

Can my character be transgender/nonbinary?

Absolutely! All genders and sexualities accepted!

 

Can my character be killed?

Your character CAN NOT be killed unless you Really want them to be, and cannot be maimed/injured/attacked without your express permission!

Attacks would be relatively rare as that’s a pretty severe offense. If it’s illegal IRL, it’s illegal in this setting!

Can my character be a club president?

Yep, I’m too tired to make npc captains for all the clubs. Just talk to me (Lit) about it, and we’ll see what we can do.

 

How many clubs can my character be in?

I mean, all of them if you want, but to start you can only be in ONE. You can join as many as you'd like over the course of RP, with a minimal cooldown. You can only be the president of one club total though!

Being in that many clubs is unrealistic, you say? Well so are cat girls.

Can my character be a foreigner?

Yep!

 

Does my character have to have a crush on someone?

Absolutely not! It’s 100% up to you. As opposed to using their archetype as a description of how they interact around their crush, it’s moreso a general description of their personality.

 

Is this a shipping group?

Nope! You can ship if you (and the other person/people involved) want, but that isn’t the goal of this group.

 

Will there be an overarching plot?

There’s no plans for it right now, however we do want to hold monthly (or every other month-ly?) events.

Why can't I make a thugdere character?

Thug is an incredibly racialized word in the united states that is typically used to demonize, dehumanize, and justify violence against black people.
If you'd like to make a character with a similar archetype (crude, criminal, delinquent, etc.), we ask that you use the term Kitikudere!
 

Why can't I make a Byoukidere character?

Your characters are welcome to be chronically ill, mentally ill, or disabled. However we find the archetype of Byoukidere to be disrespectful, and a highly inappropriate way to portray illness or disability.

Does my written application have to be long?

Absolutely not! While effort taken will be appreciated, length is not a deciding factor in application acceptance. (So long as it's clear you didn't half ass it)

Can I do just a half-body instead of a full body?

Full body art is required, however if you want you can put a cropped version of your full image on the app art, and link the full body in the description!

​

Can I skip [some part of the written application]?

No. Everything listed in the format is required.

You're free to add on or not add on whatever you want outside of that.
